Cinque Torri hike

The hike around the 5 Torri (Five Towers) is one of the most accessible and visually rewarding treks in the Dolomites, offering a stunning loop through a playground of towering limestone monoliths. You are treated to a unique blend of natural beauty and history, with the trail passing through the Great War Open Air Museum, where restored trenches and bunkers provide a sobering look at the region’s WWI past. The path is relatively gentle, making it a favorite for families and climbers alike who come to marvel at the jagged silhouettes against the backdrop of the Tofane and Lagazuoi massifs.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop

The Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop hike is a spectacular high-altitude circuit that offers some of the most iconic vistas in the Italian Dolomites. This relatively accessible 10 km trail winds around the base of three massive, freestanding limestone towers, leading hikers through a rugged lunar landscape of scree slopes and alpine meadows. You’ll encounter historic mountain huts where you can stop for a meal, all while enjoying constant, 360-degree views of the surrounding jagged peaks. It is widely considered a "must-do" for its high reward-to-effort ratio, providing world-class scenery without requiring technical climbing skills.

Lake Braies

Often referred to as the "Pearl of the Dolomites," Lago di Braies is a breathtaking alpine lake known for its striking emerald-green waters and dramatic mountain backdrop. Situated at the foot of the imposing Croda del Becco, the lake offers a serene atmosphere where the surrounding larch forests and jagged limestone peaks reflect perfectly on its glass-like surface. Its iconic wooden boathouse and vintage rowing boats have made it one of the most photographed locations in Italy.

The Croda da Lago circuit is a quintessential Dolomites trekking experience, centered around the jagged peaks of the Croda da Lago massif and the mirror-like waters of Lago Federa. This moderate loop winds through ancient larch forests and expansive alpine meadows that turn a vibrant gold in the autumn. As you ascend the trail reveals staggering panoramic views of the Ampezzo valley and the surrounding giants like Sorapis and Antelao, making it a favorite for hikers seeking both dramatic geological formations and tranquil lakeside reflection.

Prato Piazza to Monte Specie hike

The hike from the high-alpine plateau of Prato Piazza to the summit of Monte Specie is widely considered one of the "best-value" treks in the Dolomites, offering staggering 360-degree views for relatively little physical effort. Following a gentle a path the route crosses wide alpine meadows and larch forests before reaching the summit cross. From the top, you are rewarded with a direct, unobstructed panorama of the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the Cristallo Group, and the Cadini di Misurina, making it an ideal choice for families, photographers, or those looking for a breathtaking half-day adventure.
